About the Role
This is a proactive hiring call for Java Developers in anticipation of upcoming needs this summer. The role is part of the Operate group and will serve a leading North American Bank. Responsibilities include:
Designing and developing high-quality, maintainable Java applications using Spring Boot
Translating business requirements into technical solutions
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (analysts, PMs, QA)
Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance
Contributing to QA through testing activities and test case documentation
Staying updated with evolving tech trends and continuously improving skills
Requirements
Required:
Extensive professional experience in Java development for large, high-impact applications
Minimum 2 years of experience with:
Java, Spring Boot
RESTful API development
Relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
ORM frameworks like Hibernate
Agile or Scrum environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Preferred:
Experience working in the financial services / banking industry
